Public Union “Education Center “POST” is organization that provides various services in the sphere of non-formal education. Among members of center “POST” there is about 30 non-formal education trainers, pedagogues, psychologists etc. There are also 4 persons that have PHD degree on pedagogic, history and psychology.
Public Union “Education Center “POST” - non-governmental non-profit organization – was established on April 6th 1997, registered in the Department of Justice of Minsk city Council on June 20th 1997 (registration certificate № 05\0590).
Our mission is development of individual autonomy and social competence of a person.
The main aim of activity of Center “POST” is stimulation of development of individuals as subjects of educational activity through organizing and holding various educational programs.
The main tasks for Center “POST” are the following:
- Creating conditions for raising quality of self-education of people and results of this self-education
- Assistance to raising effectiveness of activity of educators that work in different types of educational organizations and institutions
- Participation in working out and researching different active forms and methods of education
- Establishing and developing contacts with non-profit, state and business organizations that are interested in development of education
Since founding Center “POST” in April 1997 up to now there have been implemented more than 40 various projects, held more that 400 seminars, trainings, camps and youth exchanges for teenagers, students, specialists of education, social pedagogues, NGO activists and other target groups. Members of Center "POST" wrote and published 7 books about various aspects of educational activity, pedagogic and work with youth.
Educational programs of Center “POST” are founded on realization of norms and principles of active learning strategy that lies in aim-oriented organizing some specific educational environment that is based on:
- Activeness of participant in educational process
- Subject-subject relations and parity of educator and participant
- Providing multilateral communication
- Stimulating the process of constructing knowledge by participants themselves
- Using appropriate (interactive) methods, tools and means for organizing effective educational process
- Regular reflection and self-reflection of participants of educational activity
- Using mechanisms of self-evaluation and feedback
